A sweet treat

I grew up with chocolate milkshakes and chocolate topping on ice cream. It is something I look back on fondly and sometimes still crave as an adult.

Chocolate topping from the supermarkets are often very high in sugar and full of added flavours and other additives. This recipe is a healthier alternative to our supermarket favourites and has an added bonus of a hit of magnesium from the cacao powder!

This recipe does call for coconut sugar, however, if coconut suagr is not suitable for you or your family, normal white sugar works just the same, although it is slightly lower in nutritional value. Manuka honey is a personal favourite due to its immune and health benefits but if you cannot source manuka honey, please use your favourite organic honey of choice.
